Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an experienced dancer to join?

Not at all! AfroCubanOnline is designed for all levels — from complete beginners to professional dancers. Each course starts with the foundations and builds up step by step.

What exactly will I learn here?

You’ll learn:
* The technique and meaning behind dances of the Orishas
* How to move with spiritual connection and rhythm
* The roots of AfroCuban traditions, including mythology, songs, and percussion
* How to apply dance as a tool for expression, healing, and empowerment

Are these live or pre-recorded classes?

The platform offers mostly pre-recorded video lessons, so you can learn anytime at your own pace. Some plans include challenges and live sessions as bonuses.

Are the classes in English only?

No — the platform offers courses in English and Spanish. You can choose the language that suits you best.

Is this platform only about dance?

Dance is the main tool — but it’s much more than that. AfroCubanOnline helps you connect to your body, spirit, and culture through movement, music, rhythm, and ancestral wisdom.

Do I need any religious background to understand the Orisha dances?

Not at all. While the dances are rooted in Yoruba and AfroCuban spirituality, the platform teaches them in a way that is respectful, educational, and accessible to everyone — regardless of your beliefs.

What if I don’t have a drum or musical instrument?

No problem! Courses include drum audio tracks to help you practice, and you’ll learn how to feel the rhythm in your body — no instruments required.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes. You’re free to cancel your subscription anytime — no hidden fees or commitments. You’ll keep access until the end of your billing period.

To cancel, go to Subscription, click the three dots, and you’ll see the option to cancel.

Your subscription will renew automatically unless you cancel before the billing date.

How can I download the ebook?

Go to your  Profile, click on Download, and you’ll be able to do it. Alternatively, on the top-right corner of the screen, you’ll see your initials — click there and select Download from the dropdown menu.

AfroCubanOnline is a structured learning experience designed by a professional with 30+ years of experience. You’re not just copying steps — you're learning the why, the how, and the essence behind the movement.
